Description

This Syrah comes from the Geneseo District in the eastern hills of Paso Robles, where Cass Wines crafts their various bottles. Savory aromas of smoked paprika, warm vanilla, and toasted clove bring out notes of plum and dark cherry. The palate is focused and layered with strong tannin, an edge of acidity. Mineral flavor frames spiced blueberry, boysenberry, grilled red pepper with black tea and bergamot in the finish. To pair, the team at CWS suggests a rib eye roast with chestnuts and brussels sprout leaves or a Shanghai pork and cabbage stir-fry.
