Founded in 1964 with the purchase of Rutherford vineyard, Michael Honig along with friends, family, and a dedicated staff, took over production in 1984. The small winery has since grown into a successful family enterprise focused on collaboration and socially responsible practices. Leaders in sustainability, the Honig family continues to innovate, inspired by hard work and family values. Their Cabernet Sauvignon has a bright and open feel, with aromas of currant, plum and black raspberry leading into the palate along with notes of black pepper, nutmeg, and a whisper of dried herbs. The finish is balanced by sweet oak and lush textures. For pairing, the team at CWS suggests rosemary crusted sheep’s milk cheese or braised beef short ribs.
