Master Distiller Cirilo Oropeza created Espolon Tequila, spending decades learning how master the science of distillation and perfecting the art of tequila making. In 1995 Oropeza met with a local entreprenuer who had the same passion and drive as him and slowly formed a partnership which made him create a state-of-the-art home for his inspired tequila. Destiladora San Nicolas became the home for Espolon Tequila. Espolon Tequila started off with Blanco as their first tequila.

Made out of 100% Blue Weber Agave the unaged tequila was created in the famed hills of Los Altos, Mexico. The premium tequila has a light floral and tropical notes that give a clean finish. The Blanco tequila is double distilled using a column and pot stills to give the tequila a perfectly smooth and balanced taste. Espolon Blanco Tequila has been an award winning tequila since 2011 winning a Double Gold Medal in San Francisco at the World Spirits Awards.

In 2016 Won a Strong Recomendation at the 2016 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, SIlver at the San Francisco World Spirits Awards, and Bronze at the International Wine & Spirits Competition. The label was inspired by famous Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada and in reference for the fight for Mexico's independence.
