Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Finish Straight Bourbon is the newest permanent line extension for the brand, and uses fully matured Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon as the base before finishing in custom toasted new oak barrels. The nose is rich and appealing with caramel, vanilla, and toasted marshmallows drawing you. Subtle undertones of oak and summer fruits like apples can be teased out of the glass by allowing the spirit to breath and swirling. The palate brings out more characteristically sweet bourbon flavors such as chocolate and caramel with just a touch of seasoned wood. On the finish rye spice leans into rich caramel and brown sugar sweetness before tapering off with tobacco, and oak.
