Eifel German Rye Whisky is made with a mashbill of 90-10 rye and unpeated barley malt, with rye sourced from the traditional rye-growing Eifel region of Germany. The two-time distillation process takes place first in a grain column, then in a single pot still. The spirit ages first in oak-acacia barrels, then in Bordeaux wine barriques, and then is finally finished in German Pinot Noir barriques. This lengthy process infuses rich, complex flavor that has earned this rye the Liquid Gold Award in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
