You can have the guests guess the wine’s grape variety, blend, or place of origin. Offering prizes will add an exciting competition edge to the night’s event. A really fun one would be called ‘Celebrity Sightings.’ These wines would be made by celebs, and you can have your guests dress up like their favorite celebrity. It will be a ton of fun. You can even have a red carpet while taking fancy pictures. The winner can receive a tiara or crown.

If you like keeping things local, try having ‘The Wine New Door’ event. All of the wines would be from the U.S. You will get to know interesting facts, and can even give fun hints about the state your wine came from to help people guess. Try having a ‘Special Bottle Sunday’ where everyone brings the wine that they’ve been saving “forever” and just don’t even remember why. You’ll be able to focus on great friends, laughs, and luxurious wine. Another great one would be to have a contest where all of your friends have to guess what the description of the wine they taste is; such as aromas and flavors.
