Easy Margarita Recipes To Share With Friends

At Country Wine & Spirits, we know that sharing is caring, and what's better to share than a delicious fruity tequila cocktail? We've collected some of our favorite margarita recipes that are perfect for sharing with your friends and loved ones. These margaritas are also great for upsizing, making it easy to prepare for your next barbecue with a ready-to-drink margarita pitcher.

Classic Margarita

Our first recipe is for the one and only classic margarita; ice-cold silver tequila, citrusy triple sec liqueur, and fresh-squeezed lime. Be sure to chill your serving glasses and find large ice cubes to avoid watering down the finished product. And remember, shaken, not stirred! For one serving of this recipe, you'll need:

  • 1 ½ ounces of silver tequila, like Hornitos Plata

  • 1 ½ ounces of triple sec

  • 1 ounce of fresh-squeezed lime juice

  • Flaky salt (or sugar) to rim the glass

  1. Combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until frost appears on the shaker's exterior.

  2. Wet the rim of your serving glass, then dip the glass rim into a salt plate to coat.

  3. Strain shaker into serving glass filled with ice.

  4. Garnish with a wheel of lime and enjoy!

Spicy Paloma Margarita

Two iconic tequila cocktails, together at last! Sometimes made with grapefruit soda like Squirt, the Paloma is traditionally associated with Mexico, where more grapefruit soda is consumed than anywhere else. This margarita recipe adds a bit of a kick with jalapeno pepper and real grapefruit juice for more tart flavor. If you want to keep the spice levels low, remove the seeds from the jalapenos before steeping. These measurements are for a pitcher, so be sure to adjust if you need to!

  1. Mix jalapenos and liquor in a pitcher and allow to steep for at least 3 hours, then strain out jalapenos.

  2. Wet the rim of your chilled serving glasses, then dip into a plate of salt to coat.

  3. Add grapefruit juice to the pitcher of tequila and triple sec, fill with ice, then stir vigorously.

  4. Add ice to serving glasses, then pour and garnish with grapefruit on a toothpick!

Blended Frozen Watermelon Margarita

In search of a cocktail that'll cool you off on a hot summer day? Look no further than this sweet slushy blended margarita. Frozen cubed watermelon creates the perfect texture and adds just the right amount of sweetness, balanced by fresh tart lime juice.

  • ½ cup silver tequila, like 1800 Silver Tequila

  • ¼ cup triple sec

  • ¼ cup lime juice

  • 4 cups chopped watermelon

  • Watermelon cubes and lime slices for garnish

  • Flaky salt

  • Sugar

  • Lime zest

  1. Allow chopped watermelon to freeze overnight, preferably on a baking sheet.

  2. Combine sugar, salt, and lime zest on a small plate, then wet the rims of your drinking glasses with a wedge of lime, and dip into the plate to coat.

  3. Add frozen watermelon, lime juice, tequila, and triple sec to a blender and blend until smooth.

  4. Pour your blended margarita into your prepared glasses and garnish with a skewer of lime and watermelon.
